Around the globe, people crave something to take the edge off — while cops do their best to make sure that the only things they can get their hands on are alcohol and, in some places, weed. This is a dance that’s been done for decades, with drug dealers finding new and innovative ways to transport and sell their goods and cops working aggressively to get them to, you know, stop doing that.

This family in Italy was recently busted after their intriguing method for selling drugs was found out. Here’s how it allegedly worked: Someone would call on the intercom, then the seller would lower a bucket of drugs down to street level. From there, the person would take out the drugs and replace them with cash, which was then brought back up the apartment.

Unbelievably, it took the police around two years to figure out this was happening. Good work, team!
